This medication is used to treat high blood pressure in adults and children 6 years and older, which helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. It can also be used to treat angina (chest pain) and coronary artery disease in adults, either alone or combined with other heart medications.

Do not use this medication if you are allergic to amlodipine or any component of this medicine.
