teriflunomide

Teriflunomide is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis in adults, including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease. It works by inhibiting pyrimidine synthesis to reduce immune system activity.
Do not use teriflunomide if you have severe liver damage, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have had allergic reactions to teriflunomide or leflunomide (including anaphylaxis, swelling of the face/throat, or serious skin reactions). Women of childbearing age must use effective contraception.
