Albendazole is used to treat infections caused by parasitic tapeworms. It is used for brain infections caused by the pork tapeworm (neurocysticercosis) and cyst infections of the liver, lungs, and abdomen caused by the dog tapeworm (hydatid disease).

Do not use albendazole if you are allergic to albendazole or other benzimidazole drugs, or to any ingredients in this medication.
