Minoxidil tablets are used to treat severe high blood pressure that cannot be controlled with maximum doses of other blood pressure medications. This medication is reserved for serious cases with symptoms or organ damage, as milder high blood pressure cases do not warrant its use due to potential risks.

Do not use minoxidil tablets if you have a tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma) or if you are allergic to minoxidil or any ingredients in this medication.
