Rivaroxaban is used to prevent stroke and blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation, treat deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, prevent clot recurrence, prevent blood clots after hip or knee surgery, prevent clots in hospitalized medical patients, and reduce heart attack and stroke risk in coronary artery disease.

Do not use rivaroxaban if you have active bleeding or a severe allergic reaction to rivaroxaban.
